If you’re experiencing problems with your JailBreak or you simply want to unJailBreak your iPhone. It’s very easy to do, but very time consuming and a complete pain in the ass, but sometimes you’re at a fork in the road where you don’t have any other choice, Right?
unJailBreaking is used for many reasons such as, you need to take your Verizon iPhone or AT&T iPhone into the Apple store and have it fixed or something like that.
The main thing with unJailBreaking your Verizon or AT&T iPhone 4 is you want to make sure you backed everything up, that way you won’t lose all your data.
unJailBreaking is the same thing as Restoring, but a lot of people don’t know that’s what its called.
I prefer to JailBreak my iPhone simply because I feel like I should and its a right that we have as owners of iPhones.
The original reason I JailBroke my Verizon iPhone 4 (actually it was an iPhone 3G) was because I wanted to use my iPhone 3G as a WiFi HotSpot, and at the time, it wasn’t an option. And even if it was, I wasn’t about to pay AT&T or Verizon any extra money to use my Data the way I wanted, that’s completely bull crap.
One really nice thing about my Verizon iPhone 4 is, just like my AT&T iPhone 3G that I had, I was on the unlimited data plan. But the problem with using my iPhone 3G as a WiFi HotSpot was it would constantly overheat and shut down after only a few minutes.
You would literally have to keep it on an icepack.
But back to unJailBreaking, like I said its super simple to do, but time consuming. Supposedly the iOS 5.0 is going to be a lot tougher to JailBreak and it’s not going to be so easy to unJailBreak your iPhone.
The wifi thing is the only reason I wanted to jailbreak my phone. Kudos good sir for helping me [and so many others] now could you help me figure out how to do that now that I got my phone out of jail? Cause I admit im pretty dumb with that stuff.
Download a WiFi Hotspot app called Modem… Its simple.
Hey, do this unjailbreak method work with a jailbroken 4.2.10 phone? I want to upgrade to ios 5 and i heard i would need to restore the phone so that its not jailbroken before upgrading. Is that the case?
Thanks!
I have used your method of jailbreaking and everything has worked fine until now. I’m trying to upgrade to iOS 5 but iTunes pops up saying ” error 3194″ unable to upgrade. I also cannot even restore it, please help!!!!
I’m not sure. I’m upgrading mine now. I’ll let ya know if I have any problems.
I’m not sure, if I were you, I’d UnJailBreak and then upgrade to stay on the safe side… Let me know what happens.
my IPhone 4 will not restore. iTunes says this iphone can not be restored. Then it says to go to the apple website and see for more information. I have winter board, installous, cydia, activator, cyget, and fake carrier. After is says extracting software is says unable to restor this iphone. If u could help me it would be very helpful. Thanks
Pictures will be deleted?
Hey Nick i have the iphone 4 verizon running 4.2.10 i jailbroke like you said it worked great thanks.. but one night my phone was screwing up so i heard i could unjailbreak by just resetting the phone through the general settings this didnt finish reseting and it just shows the apple now. i tried to boot thethered a few times and it wont work itsstill stuck on apple what can i do???
Its showing a error when i try to reboot it from itunes as well..
Nikki if you havent figured it out yet download the newest version of itunes and it will work
?
What’s the error?
It’s a Tethered JailBreak that’s why its stuck on the apple, you have to run RedSnow and Boot Tethered.
If you backup, no.
I Don’t know, did you figure it out?
Hey, I’m from vancouver B.C. in canada, and was wondering if this method of jail breaking works in fido phones?
As long as the iOS is the same as the versions I show, it should work fine, let me know what happens.
Having an issue. When I installed the jailbreak method, following your instructions to the T, it worked but rendered the phone function of my iphone 4 (5.0.1) useless. I could not make calls or end them once they were placed, nor could I receive calls. So I followed this method to unjailbreak but during the restore, my iphone has now restarted and is showing the apple icon and nothing else. My phone is screwed and desperately need to fix it! I have no idea how to fix this, as I am new to all of this. Please help.
You’re iPhone is bricked. I don’t know what you did. I’d go to YouTube and type in Can’t Restore iPhone, Bricked or something like that.
I’ve never had an issue, but sometime people do. What iPhone do you have?
I have an iphone 4, running 5.0.1. I managed somehow to get it to restore back to normal via itunes, it just took me a while. I’d really like to jb it, but now I’m afraid to.
